Found this on Colossal an Art and Visual website
"Paradise Parking is a new series of work (and soon to be book by the same title) by American-born, Paris-based photographer Peter Lippmann. The photos capture abandoned cars in a state of complete decay as each is gradually consumed by nature. The works will soon be on display in Brussels courtesy Gallery Sophie Maree. These have done rotted, but heres whats left.
Im pretty sure the one is a 55 chevy, the other a buick, but the one with the inline flat six? No idea on it. Still have to go look at one more in the woods, I think it may be a hudson, ill get pics of it later on. Im trying to find a steering box laying around out there in the woods LOL
That second one I posted is an olds, the olds engine has a 4 bbl intake on it. Any thoughts?
A1, that Olds is no doubt rusted into a solid piece of ferric oxide. If you have a lot of spare time it might be fun to attempt to dismantle it. That last one looks like the '40 Plymouth I had back in the late '70s; it had those weird upper suspension arms.
With all the Toyota's and BMW's in the world to crush there is no excuse for this kind of horror.
Yes the upper control arms are a key thing, last year there was a fender on it that was kinds like a 30's type car and nothing like a 40 plymouth
would have had. I think it may have been some type of truck. I has and interesting rear under it that resembles a baby 9" and also has two leaf springs under it that are solid 1 1/8" thick and 1 1/2" wide that I found very odd.....
The olds block is freeze cracked...not sure if anything on it is good...
guys - i'm so jealous about such a situation cars just sitting and waiting to be picked up ...
a field like on those pics would be a goldmine in europe/germany
Its a 56 but basicly same frame etc.
Tri-5 Chevy,56 Olds and 39 to? Mopar.
Spotted these on our road trip to sturgeon bay

At the back end of the school bus is an El Camino. Some one put a Laguna Type S3 nose on it.
Wandering in my uncles' junkyard yesterday.
With the 331, bored 180 over, 57 Caddy pistons, big cam. He used to drag race it back in the day. He also has a 2-4 setup, another single 4, and a 3-2 setup for it.

Here's a Hemi I found in 08
Sad part is that guy would probably want $3,000 for that.
52? 53? chevrolet anyways . . . on my grandfather-in-law's land:
That Chevy is a 51 or 52, if you have a shot of the grill I can tell you.
The Hemi sounds like they will let me just take it, the 56 New Yorker it came from is still on the farm too, but it's been sitting on its side since the 60's.
*sobs* it aint right man! it just aint right! *continues sobbing*
So the question that begs to be anwered from all this is what cars of the last decade will some day be tomorrow's yard art?
Only thing is with all their plastic and aluminum, they will probably never really rot!
...tried to buy/save this Falcon a few years ago, never could find anyone around and they wouldn't respond to notes I left; gone now, probly got scrapped...it still had a six in it.
Welllll....just fuck me a runnin'.....a 59 Opel Rekord...
It has been there for at least 30 years....it is still in decent shape. I have the emblem in my garage from when I was about 13.
