Oh tell me this isn't still rotting. Please.
damn i like that yellow 55 lincoln
Cool Burb, It looks to be a Stageway!
They're not too common with doors on the drivers side like that.
Here is my 59 Stageway when it was rotting in a Montana wrecker about to be crushed.
Your sliding side windows look newer and better . Any more pictures of the finished sub ?
great find. I think it was r*t rodded spray can red it might be an in improvement. lol I think people in the 80's were on some serious acid with those colors and schemes . Look forward to the progress. Hamb drag 2013??
I knew you'd like that one! Any shots of the progress on yours?
I saved her in 2008, got her home in 2010, but I don't have a shop and the weather has been terrible here the last 3 years. My side windows are factory style, the windows on the newer Stageways are the only thing I dislike on them.
We've gotten a lot done, but not a lot that shows up, the substructure around the drivers door post was badly deformed and we've done a ton of work on that corner, been finding parts as I go, I was hired to build a 56 Chev shortbox for a guy and got a load of parts I needed as part of the deal (and it's amazing how fast a truck I am building with someone else's money comes together! LOL) So between rain and snow storms and my yard flooding out completely it's been slow, but there is progress at least!
Last year I got a mint hood and hood hinges, some doors and a front bumper, all the missing trim pieces, steering column and box (it takes a half ton box?) Dad and jacked the front of the roof up and are still smoothing it out, once the snow is gone the roof rack is coming off and being redone (it has loads of hardwood slats) I have a 348 and a 700R4 to drop in, and I'm going to see if I can fit some 3/4ton GM disc brakes to the front.
The goal this year is to drive it under it's own power around my yard.
Click here for my build thread on it.
damn it! i could use parts off that 60......RAGE!!!!
If you ever get near Alliance Nebraska, Carhenge is worth the stop!
This looks pretty solid for a 59. Hope it has been saved.
1954 Chevy truck... owner won't sell. It's been sitting there for a long time. Last time I went by it I noticeda tree had fallen across the front clip and did a good bit of damage to it.
Heres one thats been sitting in a barn since 75 sitting & racoon infested! Ive known about it for some time.1959 eldorado Barittz-bucket seat car!

1941 Ford sedan sitting in the UP Michigan.

WOW, this thread is still going....and still breaking hearts everywhere!! Glad to see some were saved.
Now, That is soooo sad !!!!!
Actually the engine went. Then got parked in '56.
Now that`s enough to make a feller commit homicide.SEVERAL times over.
Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.
I took this pic about 6 years ago near Greenville, TN. The guy had around 100 or more cars ranging from the 20's-70's. This is the only pic I still have.
If I recall correctly this roof was salavageble... about the only thing that can be used.
