Isn't that a 59 Chev roof on it?

 

yeah strange... didnt know they even came as a hardtop

 

and the picture that hot rod kev posted of the 58 desoto is outdated it is now missing a grill

 

Worth a view . . . old car rotting out in Prospect Park, Lakewood, Colorado.

 

The 54 Buick appears to be a convertible with someone's attempt at a removable hardtop... Check out the rear qtr. window.

 

I like the way the roof line runs parallel to the body side trim on the 54

 

Buick made 816 skylarks in 1954 they were all conv.. I had one about 15 years ago. Sorry i ever sold it.

I'm new to this forum, but I have been browsing this thread all afternoon . . . not even 1/4 thru it! Tragic and sad, but absolutely fascinating!

 

I don't remember seeing any and looking through my pics. i don't see any in them.

I visited there this past summer. They are crushing cars, a lot of cars. They were crushing them as I was walking the yard. A few of the cars seemed like they would be saved but the majority of the cars had big X's on them. I hate to say there probably wont be much left this summer if they kept the pace they were working at. I'm glad to say I at least made it there, its a really great experience to say the least.

I snapped a few pictures while I was there but I don't know what happened to them, I'll try and find them if anyone would like.

 

Ford Mike- It is a shame to see the stuff go to the crusher but most of it is rotted so bad it's well beyond fixing but there are/were still alot of good usable parts left.

I'm not sure if you guys have a cut off for what year of cars we can post but i have pics. of cars into the early 70's if they are aloud.





This one was for sale with a parts car, no idea if it's still there.

 

These are the last one's i have that i know are HAMB friendly, if someone says it's ok i'll post the O/T car pics. also from this yard.

 

They usually like to keep it pre 64................. but I'm a nobody.

Those pics are fine.......where is that stuff located? Dakotas?

 

This shot is neat to me because there was a spot near my house growing up that had 3 Divco's in it just like this, same terrain, same looking trucks, same condition... even the snow looks right!

 

With all of that white sand, it must be near the beach.....

 

These are a little east of Dickshooter, Near Bruneau, SW Idaho. There were well over 50 here when I found them. Same old story, not for sale, the old man died, Grandson started turning them into cash (Kia's).

 

dang!! I know those pics were long ago but geeze NO rust on those stacks of cars!!!

 

There's probably pictures of these somewhere in the thread, they're visible from the highway and have been there for at least five years. Most of the front sheetmetal is gone, probably donors for two door cars. I'd still love me the wagon.

 

Here's a 1948 Dodge truck for sale or trade locally here on CL in South Jersey.

 

Came across these a couple of years ago.

 

That '40 Chevy convertible and the '46-8 sedan delivery deserve a better fate....

 

The Pick-n-Pull set the Galaxie, bucket seats and console didn't last long, but they apparently didn't need the shifter.





Also at the same yard, a pretty well picked over '63 Impala.





And at the yard next door to it are these. As far as I know, no one has ever been allowed to go into this yard, which explains why these have been sitting there so long.

 

Man, I could reeaallllyyy use the lower trunk seal lip from that '63!

 

If you're serious, I could sawzall it off, not sure if shipping would make it feasable though.
