This was one of my favorites, the original track car from back in the early days, a 57 Ford 2 dr Ranch Wagon with Paradice Dragstrip lettered on the doors, the word Paradice is in the white area almost faded away
Otto told me he bought this car brand new in 1957.
note it's sitting on top of a 2 dr ht and there's another 2 dr ht up behind it.

Just saved this about an hour ago. 1957 Buick Rivi, has been parked on blocks under a huge apartment building behind a cage since 1986. Owner is 93, and bought it new when he moved hear from Germany. Solid as a ROCK, literally no rust anywhere! Has a small dent on the passenger side. Motor wouldn't turn by hand, but it was a tough angle, guy said it ran when he stored it. Iterior was ok, musty smelling. Paint was probably real nice when stored, but the cover trapped moisture and it developed surface rust. I should have it seeing daylight by weeks end. Anyone looking for a great start or get it running and drive it, I'll sell it. I have never seen an original so solid after sitting for so long.

  7. These aren't exactly "sitting and rotting". I was at the guy's place today, and he's a super nice guy with a ton of just spectacular stuff. This is just the rougher stuff that he has. His nicer stuff is kept out of the weather.

I'm not at liberty to disclose the location.

I just thought you guys might like to see some primo make/year model stuff....sitting there in raw form.

These pics are from where I bought my '53 'Binder The truck in the middle is mine, the rest are "Fix 'em up someday" specials. By the way if you want a real laugh the guy's name is Robert E Lee and he lives on Acme road (I kid you not all of this is true)

I found this little stash somewhere in Tennessee in 2006; note the Chrysler has trunk-mounted A/C:

Thanks for the info - it was a whirlwind trip and my boss gave me one minute to get the photos or he'd leave me there. What's the story behind that building? Old general store/hotel/restaurant? And when you say Hemis do you mean a stash of engines or were there whole cars inside?

Last time I checked it was there. His prices are pretty high and they take off the parts. I would have liked the diff out of it.

  27. An old guy lived in there. He was some kind of a hoarder because the building was full of old discarded electronic stuff. There were some hemi engines in it. I know a guy who bought two of them from the people in charge of cleaning it out (relatives?)for $75 each. Nothing left now is what I was told.Don't know what the old building was before, I haven't lived around here that long enough to know.

Acadian trim parts will bring some coin. You never see them in the states.

I hate places like that, I've yet to find one that doesn't mangle the parts and then expect you to still buy them.

I finally had the chance to shoot these pics. Kind of eerie haunted graveyard feeling when I was there. The buzzards have already picked these clean.
