^I second that^
Bomb, I'm with you, man. I have a list of the WISH-I-COULD-A cars I had to pass on in the '60s and '70s. It's so long, it almost makes me cry every time I look at it. NOW, what's left in the increasingly endangered junkyards is about a third rusted down into the ground. I don't know how many HAMBers I've heard say: "I wish I had a way-back machine!"
Sure would be nice to turn back the clock to when you could have GREAT, buildable low-rust cars for $150 -- or less. Jeesh.
I could really use that. I want to build one like my dad had back in the 50's/60's in his memory. I miss my dad.
These are pics of an old speed shop/used car business. They used the bus for storage, and we got our speed parts there in the early 60's. The small building is still here on RT 66 Northampton, MA.
Never knew Rt 66 went through Ma.
Many states have a "RT 66". They're all the same, just different.
We even have one here in Arizona.
WTF is this.........???
I think its a puffer fish.
Looks like a tadpole to me!
LMAO I can't remember the name but its French LOL looks like a mud skipper to me a kind of gobe fish.
Maybe an old carnival ride.....?
Love to stick a rocket 394 in that lol
Nice to see a second surviving '57 Brutsch V2N of three made.
Holy shit, one of 3? It's an odd looking thing, but certainly deserving of a restoration if it's really one of three. Kinda neat proportions, looks like one of those cut-down sedan sportscar jobs they used to show in Popular Mechanics.
Thanks I could not remember what it was Pm'ed ya
A couple years ago, I happened upon this collection of old trucks that were visible from the Interstate near the town of Hebron, in western ND. Turns out that many of them were for sale, and that the owner is in the process of moving his business to Montana. If anyone wants more info, PM me.
Looks like an old carnival ride car I saw the goofballs on American P__ckers buy once.
Seriously - little French car, or...? Looks like a small Citroen copy.
not sure if it has been ID'd already, but yes. Hudson. I have been looking EVERYWHERE for those parts! I am in desperate need of the decklid and doors. Grille would be great too. So if the guy is selling, I NNNNEEDDD to know!!
Mr. MAyo, the first car is a '29 or '30 Dodge Brothers DA.
The house beside this driveway looks abandoned, but is occupied by a couple who has been fighting with the city about the vehicles for years.
Here are a few I saved a couple of years ago. All are currently being restored by their new owners.
Another one I saved. Currently being rodded with a Lincoln V12 I am told.
Here are a few more. Some are still there. Some are long gone.
My latest. I saved this and a two door sedan. both destined for the crusher.
That '61 Dodge would make an outrageous Bellflower-type cruiser!
