....such potential many years ago... it's just hard to understand the 'mindset', but maybe after telling potential buyers NO,, no one came around again...

Ain't no "Hummmm" to it ... That there's one a'them thar UFOs!!

Seriously though, I found a Superbird parked under a cedar tree in southern Missouri back around 1983 or 84. It wasn't for sale, probably still there! Missed on one in a junk yard in St. Clair MO about the same time ... took us about 20 minutes too long to get there!

So that's where the Superbird that used to be in a big garage in Sauk Rapids ended up!

The '59 sits rotting alongside another '59 in a former junkyard/airport down the road from me. The yard's owner passed away and his son told me a few years ago he was "saving them because they're valuable".

I was able to to rescue a car from there that I coveted since I was a kid - a "Big Tail FIn" '61 Comet.

Sad seeing cars rot away, but at least they are still around. This picture was taken in Madison South Dakota in the 1950's. A junk man paid $7.00 for the 32. He yanked the radiator and crushed it:eek:

I've tried to buy this Dodge Brothers truck, but no go. It must be special to the guy since it's under that collapsed shed!

Finally got some pics of some cars that are around me, all be it crappy cellphone pics. First one has been sitting there for at least 10 years. I didn't realize until I stopped for the pic that it's an old bookmobile. Hard to see from the pic but it has 2 big lift-up pannels and a smaller flip down one. I may have to inquire about this one. Second and third are at a...I guess you could call it a junkyard. More like a guy that likes junk. He usually fools around with them and ends up selling them or crushing them or something. I couldn't get a shot of the front of the panel truck.
