1959 Mercury M100 short box my brother and I found sitting and rotting in a tiny town recently.

The truck was used as an AMA (AAA in the US) tow truck back in the day and as a tow truck for the little shop it was sitting behind till 1972.

We tried the winch when we got home and it works great, it was even able to lift my tow truck!

The Merc was in a tight spot so we used my 36 GMC tow truck to help get it out.

turns out the frame is badly damaged and poorly repaired and the engine is seized so it's a source of parts now for my 58 Ford and my brothers 57 Mercury. Nothing worth keeping under the hood... ;)

Also saw this 49 Chev in the same area.

For the people that don't want to sell their 'projects', stop by with a new truck or car someday, and tell them that you'd like to give them the new car for theirs. If they say yes, tell them 'in your dreams.'

These were all taken today at a local pick a part, so their days of sitting and rotting are numbered. :(

Not sure if those are still up there... the yard is getting "updated" with more modern cars, and I've seen flatbeds hauling out the dinosaurs...

If I need to do the leg work, I'd be happy to help out... just have them PM me, and we can go from there...

33 Fordor, that coupe in the first row of the first set - is it a '40 or so Packard?
I wish I could get the whole dash out of that '55 Clipper just for wall art.

Didn't realize how rare that one was, appears to have been in a garage fire, it's mostly burned.

post #3305. Grab those tailights off the Pontiac. They're great for hot rods.

Here is one with a 327 4-speed, runs and drives he says, has a 64 impalla console and buckets in it. Solid car, it is for sale but it was high. Jim

If they're cheap enough, grab em, I'll buy em from you. They remake the lenses but the pitting would add a little age to the look so they don't look aftermarket.

Sorry no, nothing in this last string of pics is. The Jeep has a 327 with a Dontov cam, and 202 heads in it!! The owner's brother worked at a Chevy dealership in the 50's and 60's and stuffed the thing with a crazy drive train from parts he would grab that were "broken". It also has a M-22. It was on the street for a while in the late 60's and 70's, then it was the plow truck on the farm for 20 or so years.
