In case you are wondering, they are called half doors and were fitted to Australian, Chevrolet, Bedford and Oldsmobile Trucks from around 1933 to 1938. Holden was the company that produced all the bodies for GM automobiles that were exported here. These particular doors were made for 1936 to 1938 Chevrolet and Oldsmobile. It’s hard to find any images of the 36-38 half door trucks. But I found an image of a 34/35 below.

Anyway to cut to the chase, I don’t like them and I want to convert them into regular doors like these ones.

The biggest hurdle is getting the measurements for the upper frame and the flanges that lock into the B Pillar. They are really just bare skins. They originally had timber frames similar to the early Fisher bodied 1933 to 1935 Coupes.

I want to build an all steel structure for the skins similar to their Fisher counterparts. E8CF3C81-05B1-4B3E-92B4-6FC0C6C17FDF.jpeg

Anyway if any Aussie Hambers lucky enough to own one of these rare trucks is able to help me out with measurements and images of the door frames, I would be grateful.

Mine had full doors, I figured they were 3 window coupe. It's been gone a few years now, but I was able to connect with a Holden group on line for some trim. I'm sorry I can't remember the name, and interior.jpg mv pickup 001.JPG mv pickup 002.JPG mv pickup 003.JPG mine was a Standard not a Master. It had 5 Lug wheels instead of the 6 here in the states.
