Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by HOTRODPRIMER, Jun 24, 2016.

  1. Naturally,I'm a Deuce nut so I have a few 1932 brochures but I also have a few '54 Ford wagon ones too.

Do you guys have sales brochures the year of your cars and trucks? HRP

Should become a great thread HRP. Going to keep it sales brochures or will magazine ads and factory photos be allowed. Bob

  4. Bob, my original intent was just posting the original sales brochures, but I'm not opposed to opening it up to factory photo's and magazine ads..

Might make for a better thread. HRP

  5. I have had my Oz 1940 Dodge since 1971 and bought both these 1940 Dodge and 1940 Plymouth brochures in 1972...........always remember that they cost me $5.00 each when I'd only paid $15.00 for the whole car .......lol.......andyd

For the people that don't know, there are websites that sell repops of almost all old car brochures. Try Googleing "old car brochures" and see if you can find something for your ride.

Some ads from the old days certainly wouldn't be considered politically correct today....

  18. This is from Frank Pindar and Son here in Grand Gorge N.Y.

A lot of family history for me-
My father worked there as a mechanic.
My Grandfather on my dad's side was a school teacher but worked in Pindar's office dueing the summers.
My Grandfather on my mom's side was a body man there.

  20. A few items from the archive. Recently, I found an old 8mm projector. Gonna check out the advertising film, and grandparent's old home movies. I remember watching one as a kid, mom & dads wedding, '61. Must be plenty of cars in those! IMG_20160628_045653725.jpg

[] FirePower books.jpg I found this large dealer ad for my '36 Dodge pickup. showing other commercial cars, as they were called. My truck cost $500 brand new! I have this framed now

I found these Firepower books at a swap meet for $3 each, had to pick them up. I collect any literature I can that matches my cars, or hemi's.
