Many times I have wanted to see a larger version of someone's avatar. Maybe Ryan can answer why we can't click on the picture and get a full sized image.

It is a storage issue to save many pics?

  8. The picture for the avatar has to be downsized to work as an avatar, so there's no clicking to make it bigger. That's why we are posting the original picture in its original size.......well, at least some of us are.:)

I can see what you are talking about when looking at the Web site version, but on the Droid and i-phone app all the pics are a larger size.

I change mine from time to time. For now it's this.

I should probably update it 'cause the car is further along now than in the pic.

  20. Here's mine, from the left hand side of the hood, the right doesn't have the FORD emblem on it.

  22. Mine is my dad's dad. I'm named after him.

He owned a small dealership where he sold new Chevrolets and used cars that he would fix up in his shop and sell. He and my dad taught me about cars and hotrods in his shop.

He was old school...wore full-length coveralls and smoked unfiltered Chesterfields.

He could've been rich many times over but had no interest in wealth and would (and did) give people the shirt off his back more times than I can count. I witnessed him drive fairly nice cars out to people in need and simply give them the keys...multiple times.

He died when I was a kid and it broke my heart....still does.

The other photo is of him and me when I was just a little guy. The bond is visible already.

I took this picture one day when we stopped for gas on the way to an out of town car show. My car is the closest, then my Son Dan's rpu, and the blue T bucket is my Son Don's. I had this picture blown up into 3 posters, one for each of us.

  26. Thanks Danny.

I have to admit that I can't look at that photo too long without tearing up.
