All this stuff seems overpriced to me anymore but what are some more affordable cars that you can think of that you have saw that looked pretty good or that you think has potential? Pics?

Yea, we need to put some fresh eyes on some of the more overlooked and obscure models not just due to pricing but I just getting tired of seeing all the same stuff .

I had wanted a '40 ford truck but popularity drove the price well beyond what I would pay for a shell. This '41 IHC I got for $600 out of Minnesota

Cool. I had a 41 International as well. I like everything about the body. My opinion is the rear window shape looks better than Chevs or Ford's ever had related to trucks.

  13. The '52 to '54 Fords have never been considered desirable until the last ten years but with the earlier Fords drying up and the later more popular cars getting scarce it makes the previous ugly ducklings in Fords line up more attractive and they can still be found for a reasonable price. past couple years at columbus goodguys i've seen the same early 60's rambler convertible tooling around the grounds . excellent stance ,no shiny paint ,original whisper quiet 6 and the top down. last year he had his (?) kids with him and they looked like they were diggin it. no earth rotating hotrod by any means but it just looked like a reliable un-assuming cool ride.

Mine was a 49 KB2 3/4 ton, my Grandpa paid 2K from the local city garage. This is how it ended up...[IMG]

Wish we had a sub category that went up at least another 10 years or a place to go that was as good as here for that stuff.

Just because someting is old doesn't necessarily make it cool or even a hot rod. Some old stuff is flat out Fugly.

True, but I have saw some ugly stuff made cool or Ive just thought it was cool partially just because it was ugly but has its place in history regardless, you might say.

  25. As ugly as some were, they still have a cool factor for just being old. The crap rolling out of the factories these gays are just plain ugly with nothing redeeming about them.

Only so many shapes go through a wind tunnel cleanly which is why so many of the newer cars all look approximately the same. Too bad, but I get it.

When I got my 55' stude home, I looked at it and wondered what in the hell did I just buy? It was one fugly son of a gun. It's funny how the altered wheelbase deal made it look a ton better. I feel like it turned out alright considering how it started. IMG_20170107_213607.jpg IMG_20171223_141004.jpg
