I just want to share a few photos of my late father-in-law’s 1936 Ford pickup as it saw the light of day for the first time in almost 40 years. It has a 1957 Oldsmobile J2 motor and yellow pearl paint with green lace panels. The upholstery was done by him in biscuit pleated black Naugahyde and features custom made floating seats. The box is also fully upholstered with a custom tonneau cover and pleated rear roll pan. This truck is loaded with 100s of buttons. Other than some typical aging conditions this truck is exactly as it was when it was showed at the 1969 Detroit Autorama.

That is cool. I'm like Bamamav though, that "steering spear" spooks me and the wheel doesn't jive with the rest of the truck. I was involved in helping pull what was left of a guy off the steering column of a 65 Mustang that he had hit a VW head on with when I was 19 and that vision never has gone away.
The man used some mad skills to do that upholstery work. And must have really taken care of the truck to have it look that perfect all these years later.

Yes, this is Jim Mcfall’s truck. This is the vehicle that really launched his career in the show car world bringing him customers with cars such as the Crown Coupe, Jerry Pennington’s Scorpion and Devilfish, The Brinks Express, and the Roach Coach just to name a few.

Love that style. Interior is giving me ideas  I was thinking either a metal flake (#1) choice or even a wooden steering wheel would be the cherry on top. I have a gold/slight greenish tint metal flake and a octagon (8 sided) wood wheel that I would stick on it , if it were mine.

Had to go back and check out the steering wheel. I sure looks like a stone stock model T Ford wheel with chromed spider. They made 15 Million cars with them, I'm not too worried about it. Bob

That truck belongs back on the show circuit. If nothing else to show some of the "show" guy's how it was done!
