    My dad's 48 Poncho, and as good a time as any to show off one of Chromedrat's shift knobs.

    There is a sectioned, chopped roadmaster convertible project available here in town
    El Polacko could get you in touch with the owner.

    Speaking of convertibles, this sexy bitch ('48 Buick) just ended on ebay:

    This has got to be one of the most beautiful American car designs of all time...they just need to be lowered and have dual exhaust (like this one) to look even more killer.

  16. I really love this Buick. It sits just right from every angle....:-}

    Ask your friend if he might be interested in a '47 Olds convertible project car instead. Rusty Olds is going up for sale.....$7,600.

    **Beautiful car, John. This is my '48 Super sedanet...I've always thought that these cars look best from the rear (like other things in life).

    My favorite among the GM cars of this period, and a rare one; 1948 Olds 98 fastback. Same body as a Cadillac, but much less common:

    You shure that isn't a 49 it looks alot like one I thought all the 48s had the bubble on the doors that went into the fender.

    except the specials, which kept the 48 look into 49.

    You're thinking of a 76, or whatever the smaller body was called. '48 Olds 98 and Cad had an all new body (this one) which continued with minor changes into '49. The distinguishing detail on Olds is that '49s have the bags under their eyes like an 88, but the '48s just have a little round parking light below the headlight.
