I agree that the first version of Lil Coffin would be my Fav. Like many show rods of the era, it was re-done so many times that it ended up almost totally unrecognizable as 32 Tudor. I guess that was the objective!!

What about the Silver Saphire? That is a great looking car with a cool history.

Looking at the wheels and tires on these hamb Era cars in the background is interesting.

^^ Since you neglected to explain your comment, and I don't find the
wire wheel in the background particularly interesting, are you suggesting
    I remove the photo?

Noooooo, I was not suggesting that. I don't see wire wheels, but it's blurry, so maybe. They look solid to me maybe? I definitely see mags, kh slot mags w/fake knockoffs, no wide whites, radials, etc. Just interesting to see what guys back then were doing on older rides, that today many would scoff at. Does that explain for you?

I actually really dig that car featured in the Pic... Awesome 70s ride.

I just didn't want to step on any more toes. I've got a couple of more
from around that time but these things just aren't my cup of Lipton's.
The '70s "psychedelic" and ribbon painting didn't do much for me. As
with just about anything car related, it depends on the particular vehicle.

Yeah, you'll have to get in line to step on mine! Lmao.... Get ta steppin!

Somebody earlier said they don't like the look of the 70s rods, but I like um, but I don't like customs if they've gone wayyyyyyyyy over the top. Like there's a guy in my town that owns a famous custom. The utopia. It's a big deal. I think it's uglier than sin. His hood scoops have hood scoops. It's an over baked ham if ever one has been...

The Uncertain T. Long lost and a "Holy Grail" of show cars, it has just been found and is to be restored by none other than Dave Shuten!
I guess it might be available but even the legend behind it will make it a big dollar item:)

Barris, Ohberg and reisner have all laid claim to this machine, but it was designed by Ed Newton and constructed by Dan Woods of Ice truck and Pizza Wagon fame. Woods was proud of the fact that it was a functional vehicle, but somewhere along the way it became a "static display". Thankfully Dave Shuten has restored it and got it functional again...although the driver's back is awfully close to that exposed blower belt!
