My old 47 Fleetline. Last seen the stripes were gray. Last heard of, it was in Sturgis S.D.

Was running a 454/TH400, Mustang II front end, Nova rear. Later model GM door handles, T-bird gas tank fill, dechromed.

If anyone knows about where it is now, would appreciate a update.

  11. Thanks brother! It was alot of work by my standards. I have tons of pictures. Im going to put an album together when i get home all based on the chop. And i have a pretty reliable method for windshield cutting as long as you use NEW replacement glass. i leave old windshields to the pros

  13. LOL….that's my drawing board. Guess I don't have to show you mine now. LOL Sadly, mostly all I have is the drawing I did, but I'm not very far along on the car. ;)

I look forward to the pictures, send me a message when you put them up..i have seen several ways to do it, surprisingly more often 4 doors, mines a two door but will get some ideas just the same, i like it when the trunk is not pie cut, but i also dont like the quarters to sunk in, thus my dilemma.
I keep going back and fourth on to chop or not to chop a fleetline...we should save that for a different thread, I'm sure it would get ugly!

Here's my '50 that I traded my '61 VW convert for, it's probably 98% complete with lots of work needed. I can't wait to get started on it.

I've been looking for a good fleetline for a while now! I love these cars. I've got a couple vehicles I would trade for the right one! Ever since I sold my 54 I've ha the itch. You guys are killing me with all these pics! Keep them coming, and if anybody is interested in doing some trading hit me up. Check my previous post for what I have to trade ;)

I'm posting this for Jerry, President of The H-BOMB'S. It's going to be for his nephew, upon graduation in about 5-6 years.

This just came up at a price I really couldn't refuse. I was told it's a '47 but I'm thinking '48? (Model years over here sometimes got mixed)
    20140609_080142_resized.jpg

Plans are either leave it alone (besides lowering slightly and slowly sorting out minor things like vent widow cranks etc)....OR..... tear into it and go full custom. Given how much I have on my plate I am tending strongly towards the first option!
I want to see how much I can lower it without any major mods - shorter coils/spring cup spacers and blocks/de-arched leaves.
After that I'll look at what I can do to wake the stock motor up a little. Any thoughts and ideas are welcome, though I don't want it off the road for any length of time (Been burnt by 'job-creep' before )

The red one belongs to my friend Richard, it was built by the Lords of customs. The car is in San Jose Ca.
