Hey Rich....to me stance is all important.... the cars that really grab my eye have stance.....On a fenderless car check the rear wheel size and how it fits into the wheel well... on your photoshop.... to me anyhow.... the rear susp. should come down a bit.

Quick 5 min sketch... whole app. gets cleaner.... that 283 is a perfect engine.....needs a muncie or T5......
I would run scav. pipes out the side in front of rear wheels..and the rest out the back.
Something you could drive anywhere, any place.

I own the car but don't think it was ever purple. Was red oxide primer when i got it, but sanded through and looks like it was originally black, then a torquise blue, then black again, and finally red primer. Photo in my above post shows how it looked when I got it. Except for the exhaust and a few minor changes, it looks the same now.

The stickers and the stance was making me think it was another car.

That being said, your ride has a killer stance!

    I like!

    Jeff,
I couldn't agree more. I don't know how to photoshop so I asked someone do it and I just supplied a "typical" profile shot for the test. I was primarily interested in how one color combination I have in mind (gray primer body, burgandy wheels and wide white walls and white firewall) go together. If the color combo "works" then I'll tackle the stance with tire size and suspension. Thanks for your help.
    Rich

BTW my other thought for a color combo is red oxide primer body, cream wheels and firewall and dirt track tires.

I am very much a fan of 5 window coupes. Here are some of my favorites. Fenders are O.K. also.

    Rich,
I myself am pulling together parts for my 5 window project....
Ever since I saw Tony's Five window... it rocked my world.(You know the car.pics are on this thread)
My body is unchopped and needs proper panels in the usual areas. At this time..I am not concerned about that... its the stance first and all will fall into place.I want a rolling project and don't want to go the route of my truck.
I know your cars,... past and present....I am sure your new project will look terrific.I like both your ideas.

    Good luck.

    That's a photoshop of Randy Bianchi's new 3W.
    Nice job, I love it.
Not a big fan of tinted windows, but this pic is making me rethink that.

  16. That's a winner there.

  17. Although there was a small shot of it already, I believe HAMBr Derelicts 5 window is damn near perfect and is driven everywhere.
These shots were taken at the 08 Bonneville HAMB meet 'n greet.

    Darryl hanging with Denise

Darryls 32 is awesome. He drives the hell out of it. 700 mile days are the norm, a couple energy drinks and its off to the races. This hot rod not only looks great but it has a stout engine, that really gets it on. I have had the pleasure of hanging with Darryl for years and its always a great time.

32 rules...obviously that's not the same 5 window. I know your present car and it has some history. It was in one of the little pages books from the mid to late 50's.

I could have bought the car in the late 80's and it was pretty much the way it was in the 50's. It had a distictive nerf bar on it that would have identified it in the books. It also had a white top insert and did not have the brushed on scallops.

Unfortunately it was in an accident and the fenders were damaged...maybe the nerf bar too.

  21. Here Gregg this the update so far.

  22. The wheels look good to me, they appear to be dark red in the pic. I think a good dark red or maroon would look good with light grey primer.

This is a photoshop version but its one idea I had. 283 instead of the flatty but otherwise done. What do you think of this idea??
