  4. Bump, 'cause I want to do this, too...what trim was used to ring the pickguard material?

You can squeeze 4 gauges into a stock 32 dash opening. Here's the one in my 31 roadster.

Here's my '32 dash, obviously inspired by Doane Spencer.

Mine in my tudor. Its simple, stock dash insert, stock 32' speedo, and the two to the side opened up enough to put stewart warner gauges in. Then another two stewart warner gauges in the dash its self. My buddy has the same setup on a 32' 5 window he built in the 50's.

  15. The insert is from lokar & the gauges are classic ford motorsport. The insert needs a cover as the when the sun hits it blinds you. The panel below the dash is for the A/C controls & ign & starter button & lights.

Here is the dash my Dad built in his senior year of high school .

He built the stainless bezels to recess the gauges in the dash . First the bezel slides in and then the gauge , all fastened from the back side .

  26. Well, since this thread has come back up I thought I would show the wood dash that used to be in my coupe.

I have since changed it to a more traditional style that I like better.

Sorry if this hijacks a thread. This is the dash in my 32 project. I’m looking for a panel to go under the dash to add a couple of switches and indicator lights plus the ignition key which won’t fit into the auburn style panel. Does anyone know of a cast aluminium panel that might look ok?

Has anyone got any pictures of dashboards with an under dash panel added??
