That is very cool, some years ago we had a two door post falcon like that, absoulutely rust free car and we could not give the thing away. Too bad ya cant keep everything, that would be a straight axle car now.

  3. How is it you guys get all this done in such little time ? Way to go !!

It's called retirement, an understanding wife, and a love for the build! :) I live to get up each morning and do something else on one of my cars.

You'd be surprised how little I have in the Falcon gasser! :) But I did sell a '71 Camaro just before I started the build, so that helped. But I bought very little for this build new. Almost all swap meet or Craigslist parts in it.

  7. 71bb427 I am not at that stage in my life yet and am not about to wish my life away but , I have the wife issue down pat . Big money and time are still in the way at this stage in the game but I am able to squeeze a few bucks when needed . Now time ? Well ,that's another story LOL ! Good for you though . As they say , when you retire you have to have something to get up in the morning for and I couldn't think of a better reason than to get out there and build something !!!

Thanks! I actually sold the Camaro after owning it for 40 years, just because I never drove it, and I enjoy building cars more than anything. You're right about having something to get up each day for! The thought of not enjoying every day you have after retirement is just unacceptable. After 50 years of working, if you don't make the most out of your retirement years, you worked all those years for nothing!

Work on it a little every night and hit it hard on Saturdays. You`d be surprised how much gets done.

  18. No worries , sometimes neglect is a good thing so long as you don't cross the line of giving up and selling , then the neglect turns to regret !!! Looks good Thanks ,

  19. I know that's the right combination but that list my other half has always seems to take precedence . All you married guys know what I am saying LOL !! Just 1 month to a couple of weeks off . Maybe some time for me then , we'll see !!

  26. Thanks drptop for another post . Patina looks good on this one as well .

  27. Enraged hawk . That is a point I wish I was at . Looks good . If a guy can squint and imagine going flames in the bare metal then clear over it . It has that brilliance in the sun that would maybe look different / kool cleared out . Thanks

  28. Happy hoppy , thanks for posting . That sure is a unique car . Looks like a Cadillac flower car
