let's see your shop truck .. PLEASE NO STREET RODS OR ANYTHING LATER THAN 1966 . i picked this bad boy up the other day ..i had been dreaming about a patina green truck ..and my buddy called me (out of the blue ) about a yellow truck ..well when i wiped on it ..it was green ..loard have mercy ..another project ..i got an olds motor lined up all ready ...nothing too crazy .reversed eye springs and new tires and some belly burners ..it will be the official NONpit crew team truck / NONpush truck / parts runner ..for SKRATCHS GARAGE ..
Nice score man. My dad picked up a 63 unibody that he wants to use for the shop. I'll try to post pics later.
Keep the patina. It is classic as-is. I had one like it and it was a great truck! That almost looks like the old Ma Bell green. What the hell are belly burners? Habenerios?
The pics of our shop truck. As of now, the truck is now running on some old mags i had lying around and is powered by a 289 backed by a C4. We are fixin the body up as time allows.
'56 F100 panel truck. Hoping to have it on the the road in the next six months or so: I'm working on replacing the rotten cowls. Just have the driver's side left: Last time I actually drove the truck was in '99. I've owned it since '95.
Dreadman, I've loved your panel since the first time I saw it (Weddington Park, August '06). Plus, you just don't see too many of them around...
eric whats with the last pic, you know thats guna get him al riled up now dont ya?!?!?!?! damn you dreadman DAMN YOU!!
I dig the panels, here's one I'm doing as a shop truck for my tattoo artist(nevermind the shitty pic):
Belly Burners are exhaust pipes that run right under the box rail so, if you leaned on truck ..You burned your belly
What's the difference between a street rod and a real shop truck? Do these make it a real shop truck? Clark
Yeah, yeah, I don't remember meeting you, but thanks, I got in trouble that night, trying to go see the Cramps in Silverlake, with Linky. I'll send you some $$$ tomorrow, you better get my axle done for mooneyes, Jordie. Thanks, Chris
Good luck Mrs Bluto's and she doesn't sell anything 1500 built between 1951-65 You gotta do some looking This is the top-0-line ''Camping'' model... with a pass seat Mine has an original 9cid single It's got original paint and they didn't even put primer under the paint It'll do 30mph but that sounds better in kph You can't be in a big hurry AND It's no good in snow! Which it's doing today!!
Here's mine.Driven daily for parts runs and delivery. Also my street rod customers get to use it when they come to town to check on their rides.
My dad used to have a service station back in the late sixties early 70's... right out on the freeway here in PC- He had a 1959 Ford F-250 4x4 with a plow- it was that army looking Green. I've always wanted one... and I told him that once... hes like why in the hell would you want a 59 ford pickup its the ugliest truck ford ever made... I beg to differ... I think its the coolest body style truck ford made... and I will own one some day- a 2 wheeler slammed on the ground- part of it is probably that I grew up with that truck and remember being 5 yrs old plowing snow with the old man... I bought a 59 ford this year... but its not a F-100... its a ranchero- it came from Fresno originally... and its my shop truck... I actually use it as one...
heres mine, 54 dodge 1/2 ton, 225 slant six that purrs. soon to be lettered with the powderCoating biz on the doors.
