    Hi All,
I am replacing the front shocks in my 50 Ford. It has Jamco dropped spindle/kingpin front end. Stock shocks with studs on both ends will not work, wondering what shocks folks are using (my shocks have flange that bolts to the A-frame. Thoughts?
    Thanks Steve

Thanks, that's a big leg up. Found the mounting length now to find the proper bottom flange.

  4. I had the same problem on my 53. Wound up using a shock with an eyelet at the bottom and re-making the bottom bar longer to catch both bolts.

That is what I ran into.

  6. I may be confused a little but I think I was able to use 1957 Ford car front shocks without any problem on my 50 many years back. I say that without being able to verify but remember it being kind of a lightbulb moment being I had a 57 at the same time, kind of like now but my current 51 don't run stock A Arms to go look at.
