    Yeah, but The Ford Motor Company was still family owned in '49:D

    The one prototype that Ford did build for study, did have alittle better transision at the read deck area than the model car shown, but not by much! Ford designers were still very much bound to Old Henerys rule that all designs must be tall enough to carry a milk can ('bout33'' tall) in the trunk!
