Customs Shift knobs anybody see this one before?

A buddy of mine gave this to me years ago, i was cleaning up and came across it. I thought hey maybe it was time to put it to use. It actually has a adapter at the base( I didnt use it) with a mini lightbulb in it . Does this look familiar or maybe homemade?

Yes profile is the same ,different spider and color, but very similar. Where and when did you get yours?

My wife found it at a yard sale in San Diego back in 1989 for $5.00.
