Kingpins aren't that bad a job. Steering box is also easy but expensive. Paid 350.00 for mine.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones, we are coming up on 16 years and am still in love with her. If you say it's a good thing then good for you. There are plenty of fish in the sea. I just hope this truck doesn't give you half the trouble that she did.

Kiddo first, truck second. My boy Jeff got it tore down, gaskets ordered, and I am gonna assemble it thrusday. I am hoping this is the last snag we run into.

My ex wife left in a flurry when I was at work. She had her whole family in on it, took her stuff and everything of mine. Lucky my '55 F100 was jacked up on all four corners...
she didn't take tools, either. Or the roadster.
I was so glad to see the bitch gone I had the truck running in 2 days!
Met a new girl, she was a customer at my shop...in 2 months she was building engines with me, we were always together.
WE got married in 1980, and she's still way into hot rods. I still have my '55 F100, and lots of other stuff. She's also still good looking. (she's also 13 years younger than the last one!)
I swore I'd never get married again! But the weirdest thing happened... Never say never.

So, my buds pulled through and got her running and driving on her own (driving is a bit scarey with bad kingpins and loose steering box) but she made it on her own power across town and we a had a great show and party yesterday.. I am going to do a few more things this week to make it drive a bit nicer and safe for my kiddo.. Stay tuned. [IMG]

As of today he is not answering and cant give me straight answer if its done or not. I am leaving on a 3 day Harley Trip and my shop partner said he will have it finished come hell or high water for up coming show on the 24.. We shall see

I ended up buying the rest of the parts truck your front bumper came off of from Chris and his dad for parts for my factory 4x4 60 ford. I have three of these trucks now and not one good front bumper. Still looking.

Very cool truck. My neighbor has a total of 3 58 or 59 short bed trucks in her back yard. They were here boyfriends that passed away about 2 years ago. Makes me contemplate buying them and building one or two of them. She had me look them over and give her an idea how much they are worth and looks like they are all there except motors. One cab is completely rust free and would make it any easy build but my fiancé would kill me if I brought it home. So tempting though.

I made it 22 years and ended up in the same boat. Losing all my stuff was worth it to get rid of her. My new wife loves Harleys and old cars... imagine that...
