That is one cool ride!! How about some race lettering to avoid the paint deal. I just love vintage lettered race cars but looks great as is.

That mop of blond hair barely visable over the roofline is the top of my head. I was trying to steal the left tail light, but Sam and his pals kept pushing the car away from me.;)

Jim, the car looks more bitchin' than ever with the new wheel combo, and a 9.77 pass, Hoo Doggies!

My comment was based on what looks like the bead laying down on the rim. I know the photo could be giving a distorted view, or my eyes are much worse than I thought..

    Still a Bitchin Car.

I ran into Sam and Mike in the lanes while Sam was pushing Jims awsome 55. I never did actually get to meet Jim but did get to ogle his car. For me it was great to see a car that not only looked the part but "ran" the part as well.

As for the tire wrinkling Jim is right that is what they do. I offer this pic as a comparison example.

I can't stop looking at the rear quarter panel/wheelwell/tire /wheel combination. I've literally looked at thousands of '55's over the last 50 years and now "there's a new sheriff in town":cool::D

    Here's an interior shot:

I also swapped out the modern fabricated valve covers with some old Mickey Thompsons. I had to run a spacer to clear the stud girdle:
