Technical Shackle bolts Grade 7?

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by spillaneswillys, Aug 11, 2021.

  1. I am putting new leaf springs on my 39 Plymouth build and a Mopar Reproduction company has brand new shackle set with Grade 7 bolts. I see everywhere that Grade 8 is recommended alot and some say a Grade 5. This build has a 354 Hemi and Mopar axle will the grade 7 be sufficient? Thank you Joe

I bet the OEM bolts were Grade 5 to save $$.

8 is the choice...anything that steers , is suspended , and stops...
