Matt, Sorry for the damage to your arm. Wish you a very speedy rtecovery !

The car was coming along so good. It will be great to see it finished and burning up the road courses.

Is the engine in the Roadster the same as the one in the Sports Car ?

yes I pulled the motor out of the sports car, and put it in the roadster. I plan to have Ross Racing Engines build me an Olds motor for the sportscar, I think it will be a better fit.

I can't even begin to imagine the amount of work in building something like that. You have more work in the wooden framework than a lot of people put in their cars !

Very ambitious project and it looks great so far.

So after more than a year of dealing with tendonitis, my arm is finally feeling better. And I’m ready to start shaping metal again. Unfortunately burn out, family, and other projects, have prompted me to end this build. It’s not that I don’t want to build it, it’s just that I don’t want to build it on my own personal time any longer. And I have no desire to leave it sitting until I feel like building it again,. If someone wants to take ownership and have me build it for them, or take it and build it yourself now is your chance. If I don’t sell it I’m probably going to recycle the parts into other projects. If you’re serious PM me. Sorry for the abrupt end to all the people who have been watching this build.

Sometimes life gets in the way....although you are an inspiration to me for your skills.

  17. Understandable. I am sure you will find someone willing to pay you to finish off that sexy thing! (the car not Kirk ;))

Man, that's sad news. I really would love to see you finish this thing. But, you got to take care of business. Hope someone steps up, good luck! Love the race car too by the way.

Must have been a tough decision in that you have so much time, effort and skill put into the car. I wish you well with moving it on, hopefully we will all have the opportunity to see it finished at some point.

Man, I know how hard it is to get enthused about finishing your stuff when you work on everybody else's everyday! Thankfully, mosty of my stuff gets bought before I have to go through the seemingly endless tasks of getting it finished out and running.

Love the build. It would be a shame to see it scattered to the wind. Hope someone takes it on one way or another.

  30. great to hear it has a new opportunity, for all parties involved, hopefully JJ can bring this vision to the next step.

Any other progress on the Roadster?

    Cheers,

    Drewfus:)
