I hope you know how Waukesha got it's name. The name Waukesha is a Native American name meaning "travel at your own risk".
I'll draw you a map on how to get through town without bending a rim, or having a door pop open. The map is very simple, there are about 7 streets you can safely drive on, the rest are 4 wheel drive trails.

    See you at the Kiltie?

The car is going up in August sometime. I won't be there full time until mid November. What and when is Kiltie?

It's a once a year cruise-in at tha "Kiltie" drive-in restaurant. The "Kiltie" is located on the east side of Oconomowoc Wisconsin, just off hwy 16. This year it is being held on Friday May 17th. Their parking lot fills up early, and the overflow spills out to the frontage road and a car dealers lot next door. The show rivals the "Cheaterama" show, and lots of seldom seen (in the metro Milwaukee area) hot rods and customs show up.

My Model A. My first build, started as a '31 coupe body and frame in 1982, then found a cherry '31 Tudor body.. finished in the late 90's. Had never driven anything older than a 1970 vintage vehicle 'till I got this one roadworthy. I now have other rods, but nothing compares to your first hand built hot rod....

  23. Stupid Question Time: What is up with the white Firewalls/Dash? I have seen it on many cars over the years, enough to know that I would want nothing but a body color firewall/dash. Where did this hotrod styling element come from?

^ That's a cutie pie! It's nice to see the rear wheel well filled up like you did, either with large diameter tires or dropping the chassis. Nice. Gary

Probably from the same place that white frames and wheelwells came from in the 60's. Guess you had to be there to understand.

  28. Wauw, really cool car! But... why's the rear so wide?
