Seen this car in a commercial for the show called Castle on tnt. Anyone here own it? Looked too nice to be a stage prop or a production owned car.
That car was rented from an independent owner for the Castle episode filmed in San Pedro. Production companies will rent from outside the normal studio vehicle suppliers if they want a specific car. Magoo used to rent his black '29 high boy for filming but either he or his wife never left it alone. Someone has to be there to protect the car as film people can be careless.
Careless is a understatement,,my pal Eddie Jones rented to very nice original cars,,his 39 Olds and a 47 Ford sedan to a film company in the lower part of the state for what he thought was pretty good money,,,after getting the cars back 2 months later,,the check he received would not fix the damage done to the 47 sedan,,it had been almost destroyed in a chase scene. In disgust he sold both cars for penny's on the dollar. HRP
