Scored a 351 Clevo to go in the F1 pickup I am throwing together as a shop truck It is supposedly a runner, but looking under the rocker covers it is pretty sludged up I was planning on just giving it a gut full of cheap oil and firing it up, then doing a couple of oil changes once it's warm But......a couple of people have told me various stories about "50:50 mix of diesal and oil" or "20% ATF" etc Anyone have a foolproof mix for desludging a motor? Stripping it, hot tanking and rebuilding doesn't fit the budget!
