after swap meet today, at the Stockton 99 Speedway, had rare chance to "stroll" through 20210321_112407.jpg 20210321_111516.jpg 20210321_111522.jpg 20210321_111537.jpg one of three stashes of miscellaneous parts - owned by Family of parts wheeler dealers - yellow flowering weeds add to "ambience" of location

Amazing the amount of "stuff" out there just turning to rust and dust.

That looks like Karl Schmidt's place RIP. If it is its in good hands with Brian and his brothers.

Rather look at that than cars at a show.

I put concrete block on my disk for weight, not early hemi blocks.

Karl's place was amazing. Was first introduced to Karl and his Mother Lode in the late '90s. Amazing cache and an amazing man. He had stuff lying in the mud that would blow your mind, then he'd open up the shipping containers... :0

  13. That wagon was built by George Cerny if my memory serves me well. It was for sale in the early 1970's for $ 2500, but it had rear ended someone and had a stock nose on it. It was one of those would have, could have, should have, But it was going to cost too much to bring it back to the east coast.

Do these folks advertise parts for sale somewhere, or is this a private collection?

They certainly make attractive haulers with a little adjustment here and there with a splash of paint strategically applied don't they...yes it was George's Nick you are correct...I have shared a link with A Story on Dean below the pic in that post...

These places are incredibly intriguing to say the least...History has come to a near standstill...so many discarded keys to interesting stories of past dreams, some fulfilled some just remaining a dream...they certainly have no shortage of things to fill a spot as you say at the Swap Meets that make getting it back in action a reality again...I'm comforted knowing it's still a functioning enterprise...

...this pic gave me a chuckle...I was thinking old racing Coupe with fancy aluminum door structure...but upon closer inspection it turned out to be everything including the kitchen sink...:D

My understanding is that the wagon is back with the Cerny Family. A while back they were looking for someone to help them put it back to it's glory days.
