Hot Rods Seat belts in a Model A roadster?

I installed plates under the body and attached the belt anchors through to them. There was an article published from the Model A Ford Club of America that showed how.

 

It is not that difficult is it.

 

l am planning on adding seat belts to my Model A tourer just lap belts, hopefully that will pass engineering.

 

With the inside door handle sitting just below your elbow on my 29 roadster
I’ve had two passengers accidentally pop the door open, with one during a left turn
needless to say
Seat belts secured is mandatory

 

Is there anyone out there who still believe in the "It's best if you get thrown out in an accident" theory?

 

Yep.. same here. I keept telling passengers not to rely on the doors to keep you in. Now got lap belts.
