I think it'd look nicer with full length running boards, looks like they used large truck ones.

First, it needs either a banjo steering wheel, or a 40 ford steering.
Second, it needs the lakes style pushbar bumpers on the front and rear.
Third, some kinda bad ass hood ornament.

    Now go make it happen.....

The changes your talking about will be an improvement. Good for you having an off brand truck.

    Nice truck!

If it were mine I'd be OK with the wheels but I'd be asking Santa for some chrome bumpers to break up all that red. I do agree that the wide whitewalls would be an improvement.

  16. I always did like those K series Haybalers, very attractive grille and front end styling. A bit of trivia if you ever need to replace the stock door latches--the K series Haybalers used Ford latches, same as '38-'47 Ford truck. There's a guy in Gadsden AL who's been driving a '40s K series International pickup street rod for years. If I were not so attached to my '38 Ford pickup (had it since I was 14 years old), I'd be looking for me one of those ol' Haybalers. Like 'em a lot.

  17. Nice truck, gotta do something about that interior though.

The interior is out of control! What was he thinking?! To further break up the red and update it, consider:
    • Chrome the headlight bezels
    • Add chrome/stainless bumpers
    • Chrome/stainless grill
    • Stretch the boards to the rear fenders
    • Bench seat, new carpet
    • Dash -- what did the original look like?
    • De-billet the entire truck !
    • Goose-neck the shifter
    • Steelies, WWWs
What does the bed floor look like inside? Under the hood?

    Nice get Shawn!

Yep. chrome bumpers, grille, windshield frame, headlamp bezels, but lots of potential. I'd worry about the outside before doing stuff to the interior and engine. After all who's gonna see under the hood or inside when your cruisin' at 70 mph with a big grin or three?:D:D:D
