The column drop is beautiful and I like the Excelsior tires. You may have previously mentioned it, what size are the tires?

We made our own set of friction shocks.
4 in front and 2 back in the rear.
    IMG_2534.JPG IMG_2535.JPG IMG_2536.JPG
We cut a steel plate to act as support for the pedals axle.
    IMG_2539.JPG IMG_2537.JPG
We’ll use the original 1926 Buick brake and clutch pedals.
    IMG_2548.JPG
And all the mechanical brake system.

Front brake rod. We’ll use a central support to prevent flexing.

Here the Seagrave has a lateral power exile to the water pump. We’ll cover it with the steel plate.

Chip / Need louvers makes them a lot, he showed how in a build thread, maybe it's the de-uglifying a T Bucket thread.

I built a set for the front of my T bucket, but not quite a fancy as these.

  10. Woot-Woot! ;) I'll put your name on the list, but I bet it'll be fairly short. :p

(Add catdad49 to the list. It's doubled in length already!)

We made the fuel tank from sheets of 304 Stainless Steel.
It holds 22 gallons of gasoline.

It will be attached to the frame with straps.

And I found this fuel tank cap in Ebath
We’ll make the holes in the fuel tank for the inlet hose and outlet for the fuel pump, using stainless steel niples.

Here's a pic of mine, created from aluminum flat stock.

  14. one would say: what the heck if you're having an accident, slow, but with a bad impact angle. the steering could kill ya, even if you hit the dash, or even the fuel cell will break, you can loose your life in a fire or while flying out of the car because of no belts.
i say: congrats to a damn fine machine. not to beat. my greatest admiration to your work, keep on, i love to read your thread.
    Cheers, Carsten

  15. That 22 gallon tank should be good for about 22 miles with that monster engine.:p

What arrangement of internal baffles did you put into the gas tank?

We made a central longitudinal vertical internal baffle.
I believe will be enough to brake the waves.

We took the body off from chassis to make the steering and fuel line installation.
Two people can easily handle the whole body.

And we are studying some variations for the dashboard too.

Great progress, on the dash I'd keep it nice and simple. But I'm sure you will figure out the best solution.

Personally, I like the gauges centered, so they are equally visible to the co-pilot, who would most likely be monitoring them more closely than the driver.

Love the exhaust, especially the tips! From my experience, you might be a little disappointed at how quiet it might turn out to be. After I got the two 180 degree turns to bring the exhaust around the front of the engine and then ran it through over two 20 foot lengths of 2 1/4 tubing, it was downright mellow!
