I have beed looking for the parts for my 51 Shoebox and found what I needed at one yard (and that never happens). I even helped an older gentleman get a rusted bolt loose. He was probably in his late 60's. Karma maybe. I found a 5 lug Maverick 8" rear and a BW s10 t5 tranny. I am finally rounding up parts to get my car going the way I want it.
I am hoping to drive to the Viva show this next year.

There should be a small tag on it ... if it has not been messed with.

The tag will have the gear ratio on it.
Tags are generally found attached to the passenger side of carrier assembly secured by one of the nuts on the housing studs. The tag should be at 1 O'Clock ... looking at the center section from the yoke side.

The Mav rear is most likely a 2.79.
