Frame material looks like a good candidate for a new work bench framework. 2x4 Channel?

Weird little ride, got your money in parts. Id drive it - around private property - not on the road.

    What are those wheels?

  14. {stainless Thanks}, Looks like you had $300 worth of FUN and laughs with it!:) Plus you got the parts you wanted too. I know seeing this really cracked me up.:D { A STORY } Sometime back in the 80's. My little brother and I were at my dads shop. We had been joy riding an old junk Chevy Vega around in the field. I got this crazy idea. I had this old model A pick up at our shop. One of many old junk cars that I had drug home. I said lets build us a Hot Rod, and in just in one day too. lol So we Torched everything off the old Vega. Then bolted the pickup cab, fenders, grill, and bed back onto it. I even brushed painted it flat black. Was this a waste of time? Probably, but we had sooo much FUN! We made some good memories! Also we didn't waste any of the A parts. As I took it back apart later. But what a great day we had. I wish I had some photos. I know, or it didn't happen. Lol Ron...

  15. Please take it to a track before it gets torn apart and get a video of trying to pass tech. It would be hilarious!

  20. The other half of the story is, just who built that thing? I'd guess them to be just as freaky?

Bring it to a show. At the end of the day I bet you get more looks but less votes than the guy with the big trophy.

I have spent a lot more for a lot less... I see double your money on parts and useable material plus a a few hundred lbs scrap.

I've been thinkin' about buildin' me some wheels about like those for a while. Probably had something other than the space saver spare tires at one time.
Bought a Sportster long ago with aftermarket chrome wheels that had 5 spokes made of 1" square tube, worked fine and looked pretty cool in the early 70's.

Pretty cheap parts haul, It would be interesting to know what the original builder was using it for. What is the engine and trans going into?
