Great, great job! Thanks for your time and effort to post all those covers. Reminds me of going to Jazzbo's All in One in Cochran, Georgia and seeing them displayed on the news stand. It was a tough decision to pick one or two to take home each month. Still have most of them after all these years. I don't understand how some experts feel it is their duty to slam the contents of these periodicals. The coverage contained in them is the most important link to the time period that you will find.

  19. Mazooma-

This thread's cooled off a little bit so I thought I'd give it a bump. And I knew there had to be a good reason for me to download most of the covers you posted. So I finally got around to using a bunch of them to put together a couple of wallpapers to share.

Thanks again for taking the time to scan and post these great covers!:D

    Here's a 1024x768 version for non-widescreen usage.

    And a 1440x900 version for wide-screen users.

    Click to download 1024x768 version.

    Click to download 1440x900 version.

...then click "Download" above the image to open in new window, then right-click on image and select "Save Image As..."

You might need to resize these to fit your screen better for different moniter resolutions, but if there are some other more popular screen sizes in use out there, let me know and I can probably kludge together some different sized versions.

why doesn't HOT ROD look like this today? mine usually goes from a quick page flip to the trash... unless I see something worth saving. These all have stuff I would be interested in archiving.
