Hot Rods Scam alert

hello, fellow brothers and sisters of the Hamb!
I got took by a scammer by the name of Kevin Harrigan of Florida. I posted an add here looking for a Briggs Sedan.
I was gonna buy from RPM1 when Kevin Harrigan emailed me off of this sight making me a reasonable deal, and against my better judgement, i sent a western union for $350.00.
Of course that was 3 weeks ago....havnt heard a word!!!!

Anyone else here know or heard of that guy?

 

Never heard of the guy but western union makes him safe from mail fraud.

This is like closing the door after the horse got out but it is always a good idea to get someone from the area to take a look at the vehicle in question. If you were thinking about buying my jeep I would actually suggest that you not take my word for it and have one of the local HAMBers take a look at it before you spent any cash on it.

 

All kinds of alarm bells in that one quote.
Did it sound too good to be true ? It was.

 

I know, i know....ive been on here for years and never had a problem.
Im owning up to the fact that it was an idiotic move on my part.
Just thought id put the word out in case someone hear knew or heard of him.

Mr. Harrigan apparently has found a way to subjugate his Florida retirement.

"H-A-double R-I...G-A-N spells Harrigan!" -an old '40s movie by that name...

All kidding aside, I hope Mr. H has the decency to return your query with something like the reinstatement of his 'deal'...

 

If it makes you feel any better if you would not cheat someone why would you expect anyone to cheat you?

My view on the world may be a little different just because I am around scammers all the time, it gives me a break from the HAMB.

 

The Hamb is a good place ! Thats gor sure, and full of good folks.

 

Anyone need something looked at in the Reno sparks Carson city area? I'll be glad to help out a fellow HAMBer. I hate seeing posts like this. Its a shame, if I can help out another member to keep from getting taken, I'll do whatever it takes.
