    From our own house:

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...-aluminum-radiator-cooling-efficiency.151362/

What we need to consider is how black absorbs heat quicker (to the outside in our case) and the fan blowing over it takes the heat away. What color is an air cooled bike engine? Most are satin black. Think convection...

Black absorbs heat white reflects what you have to remember is what color the backside of the paint is.

I almost NEVER paint them orange! WHY???? I'm building a Kustom, not a boring stocker!
How about Candy Magenta, to match the flames on this Yellow Pearl Packard (yeah, weird color combo, not MY choice!) Les_engine.jpg

My buddy has a pink 350 with black covering the pink. I got flamed over a thread I started asking if a pink SBC was something special. The consensus was that it might be a Mary Kay car junkyard save. No pictures sorry.

I think by the time you account for coolant, coolant flow and pressure, ignition and valve timing, and the other couple dozen factors that affect cooling I'm pretty sure the color of the paint on the block makes about 0.001% difference.
Back to the photos! I like red and gold, but most of the ones posted so far look great!

I guess I'm the only one who noticed the heads on this engine with the twin towers; rare heads. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
