what flywheel and pressure plate do you use when mating a SBC ( 350 in this case as I already own it) to 39 Ford manual trans. The Ford one or the SBC one.

Thanks..I am using the ford starter so what how many teeth should the flywheel be. What about the pressure plate?? Does it require a certain spline to match the Ford trans.

  7. 50 Merc Pressure plate will bolt up to some chevy flywheels. I bought a new one from Jegs. It has the correct bolt holes that will line up with a 50 merc pressure plate. I called Wilcap directly for the pressure plate. 50 Merc clutch disc, 168t flywheel, easy peasy.

Found the one I bought https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/601205/10002/-1

Lots of good info on this swap here: http://www.wilcap.com/chevy.html

  11. I think that should be fine, but you should just pick up a phone and call Wilcap to make sure.

I run a aluminum Chevy flywheel old Shaffer and ford clutch 10 inch with ford 39 spline count and ford pressure plate that fits your flywheel. Pilot bushing I made but are available at parts store so dont have a part number . So just match your crank hole OD of bushing and ID will be the 39 trans pilot nose or shaft of trans
