is it possible to drop a sb motor in a 35 ford without completely butchering the stock firewall? i like having all the leg room, and don't really wanna give it up.

so lets hear some stories or see some pics. thanks.

  3. Put a SBC in one years ago. Minor triming of the firewall and new trans hump and triming of the x-member as I remember. Used auto trans.

I have a 350 in my 35 coupe. Only thing I modified was a little notch on the passenger side of the firewall for the head/valve cover and then a recess for the distributor, which with any standard, non-HEI type should be needed. With a little better planning I shouldn't have had to do anything. Only thing else I did was make a trans tunnel, so there were mods for that.
