Technical SBC Fuel pump mount question

    Dragging this up. My 350/290hp doesn’t have a hole to hold the push rod. The Chevrolet Performance pump was too big as well, hits the frame. If anyone needs this info in the future, the pump that fits is a Carter M 4685. Leaves about a half inch clearance from the frame. Brookville Roadster 32 chassis pinched for Model A (maybe a little too pinched)

    Since your not a Chevy man, I hope you aren't to upset when you see how low the oil pressure is on those 290 hp. engines. They run and sound good but it will not set well with the low idle pressure maybe that's why most Chevy's have idiot lights. Personally, I would make some room in the frame for the pump to have more clearance; easier to do now than later.

    Thanks, what do you mean won’t set well ? It moves around?
