acquired a set of 333882 SBC heads - would these be any good on a street performance engine or are they garbage? Thanks-

Cool link! They appear to be 73-80 360 and 400 heads with 76cc chambers, I assume 1.94/1.60 valves? Anyone know what they flow? Are they the lightweight castings they get such a bad rap? I have a couple sets of possible heads for the coupe, I intend to use about a .480 lift cam with single 4 barrel and manual tranny and am trying to decide which heads to use. Thanks-

    Dan,
I raced a '74 Corvette in NHRA Stock class, 350 w/#882 heads. The flow on the exhaust side is pretty poor, and the intake side is marginal at best. The heads have a tendency to crack, and are factory with 1.940 intake valves and 1.500 exhaust valves. Now, we blueprinted the heads to 63.3CC chamber size, and with all stock components and a NHRA legal "cheater" cam, we made 390HP @5400 RPM.
So, depending on what you want for power, and your budget, thats the facts.

Those heads were made in Mexico. Very poor castings that crack easily..
