Art & Inspiration Saw this cool 64 Chevy Belair today

Saw this sweet 64 Chevy Belair today and talked to the owner.Told me he put a 350 in it and had stripped it down to bare steel abd repainted it.very solid car.The rear bumper indicates it came from Jim Davis and Wayne.Not sure if it isWayne P A or perhaps Ft.Wayne Indiana.

 

Very cool Chevrolet. The 62,63, and 64’s are my favorite big cars of all time. If they still built cars like that, I wouldn’t drive a truck.

Remarkable car !I asked him if he planned to take out to the Canfield Supernats but he Said he just used it as a summer daily driver...the paint is 20 years old.

Power parked to make room to load lumber or whatever is across the seats and out the window, guys got some character.....of what kind Im not sure

 

Up in my neck of the woods parking like an ass hat will only invite trouble. I have seen nimrods park similarly and they have had guys park up tight to them on each side and then leave. Then the cops have to get involved and the whole situation turns into a shit show. It is better to just park normally and not invite people to react to your foolishness...

Years ago I had a 69 Lincoln.
Went down down Toronto and parked in a pay parking lot.
Attendant asked for $40 bucks !!!
WTF why so much? I ask.....
He points to my land yacht and exclaimed “ your taking up 2 spots !!!!

Last time I drove that barge down town ! Lol

Yep... And sometimes it's not worth the effort to react to the foolishness of others. They seldom pick up on the subtlety.

 

I think because of the lumber sticking out,he had to park that way.

 

Guys, the lumber is sticking out one window less than a big trucks side mirror.

 

My Dad has the exact same car, except in a '63. But Dad knows how to park.

 

Ok parking drama aside, that’s a slick car. I’ve got a fondness for the post cars.

 

62-3-4 (2dr)post cars are favorites for me, in that order.
Been hot for one for quite a while. Have most of the pieces collected to make one how I want.
Hope he remembered to put the clothes in the dryer!

Diggin' the factory chrome shifter. Sold a few like it over the years. "Vague'' compared to a Hurst.

 

First thing tossed back in the day.
They make 'em now that will bolt on to a Hurst unit, best of both worlds!
