Anyone want a junk tool box? Notice the boxes by the trash in the chassis picture? Seriously, Finally broke down after 30 years and bought a nice one Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
My main toolbox is a pair of matched bottom boxes and top boxes, side-by-side, on a rolling chassis. Like the Queen Mary, so I have two more standard 36" wide with top boxes in the main garage and the shop out back. I really should 'downsize', but sacrifice tools??? Never! Deuce is coming along sooo clean! Love Washington Blue!
Kinda late, but heres a 5W in Wa. Blue as a preview. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...-it-all-yard-find-the-bettie-32.623908/page-8
Found the problem with the shoes last night, the anchor pin needed to be installed upside down, cause I miss measured when I welded the plate with the hole for them on the 40 backing plates. Might have helped if it had not been a year and a half since I assembled them last! Oh well! wasted a couple 2-3 hours figuring that one out.
Finished up the rear brake lines and park brake cable tonight Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Could be the camera angle, but looks like possible brake line pinch point between top of rear axle housing and bottom of frame?? This chassis is really taking shape quickly. Looking awesome!!
y You are correct, it possibly is, the coilovers should bottom before this hits at the brake line. I have not figured out how a bump stop to avoid the possibility of a pinch, working o that solution. Ideas?
These worked good for my boxed, c-notched chassis, just drill and tap frame and don't use the nuts, turn in real tight by hand . Energy Suspension makes them.
The best solution is to not run your brake lines on top of the axle. Also, make sure to place them in a location that won't get pinched should it ever need cinching down on a trailer.
Thanks DDDeney! Alchemy, I looking into a solution for the clamp the holds the line on the right side, that is were the issue comes in. It's on the top and in the middle of the axle.
Thanks for the watch out on the brake lines Here is the fix Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
