My wife came across this car on craigslist in Kansas we live in Colorado she had been hunting for a coupe for us to build for her and found this 47 Chevy Coupe... The car was going to end up in the crusher as it had been on craigslist for over a month .. We drove to Garden City and bought the car for $150!!! Going to build it in 50s/ '60's style we think possably powered with a 56 olds 324 i just acquired

  7. Looks like a good start, decent floors saves some work. I remember one growing up that ran a set of reverse chrome rims and a custom 47 Olds grille.

It's nice to see dents instead of rust. I bet the fuel to go get it was more than the purchase price...nice score.

Nice one, looks like a great start. Let us know how many beers it takes while watching your wife do the roof chop :)

  19. Looks great! First thing I'd do is replace that wooden steering column.

Looks a little naked, but good & solid! I'm interested to see what you do with it. I love those coupes.

Awesome. I almost saved a 62 Falcon in about that shape, but didn't have a way to haul it or a place to put it at the time.
