This thing is the bee's knees, man! It's been great to read this whole thread over the past week or so, seeing how you have dealt with the various problems that come about when you mix'n'match.
I've got a front i-beam axle and a dream, so seeing this sort of thing gives me hope! :D

Went on a little vacation so I haven't done anything on the car. Tonight after work I milled up a step to bolt to the shock mount so I can climb up into this turd pile. I made it to mimic the 40 Dodge pick up pedal pads I'm using in the inside of the car. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

This Racer like many others has a very tight cabin I suppose much like a vintage aircraft...its really gotta be a different experience that's for sure...much more open than a tank but confined none the less...Once your doing 50mph laps around the track that'll go away...;)

It's tight for sure and it doesn't help that I'm a fat sumbitch. It will be an experience driving especially with the hand clutch but I don't think it will see any track time.

All loaded to take the single seater to a show across the state in Sioux Falls. Be fun to get out of town on a car related weekend. image.jpg

A great start to what I’m sure will be many more awards. Nothing better than recognizing true talent and vision. Congratulations.

My wife snapped this picture this weekend after I had jumped in the drivers seat. After inspecting the photo a bit closer I see my smartass buddys in the background wondering how I got my fat ass in there! Ha ha! image.jpg

Today was the first day in about two weeks that I got to go out to the shop. My first project was to build two brackets for a timber frame ridge beam for work. I then got started on what im going to do to hold the hood down. A few weeks ago when we took the car to Sioux Falls my buddy and I brainstormed the hood hold downs. I am using Model T/A roadster windshield wing nuts to fasten the corners of the hood down. I also made a stainless steel bracket that i will rivet to the hood and give the corner of the hood a bit of strength. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Clever how you were able to clock the wing nut to reduce wind drag.
