Savannah-Charleston-Charlotte-Boone, what's happening?

I'll be in the Savannah, Charleston, Charlotte, Boone area October 6-20. Anything interesting going on there? What machinery-related places to visit; stuff to see?

We do a hot rod lunch on Saturday's in Charleston. It's at a Subway on Rivers Ave. in North Charleston. On the 20th there is a cruise night at Northern Tool on Rivers Ave. That's all I know of event wise. There is a fire museum in North Charleston that's kind of cool if your into that kind of thing. That's the only machinery based thing I can think of. Stop by lunch or the cruise if you can.
