Not Santa Ana----Maybe Paradise Mesa, San Diego in 1953. Blimp hangers were always visible at Santa Ana.

They are Paradise Mesa, never seen these before, wonder if the shots feature Dode Martin, one of the original Dragmaster guys, since the tag reads "Dode?" Interesting shot of the Chrisman dragster, numbered "52" instead of "25"...think that the purple car is Dode Martin's dragster, one of the first....
The color photos are at Paradise Mesa in 1951. In one photo my '41 Hudson sedan and Olds tow car can be seen in the background. A second photo shows John Wolf's So-Cal Speed Shop '36 coupe and a San Diego area '37 Ford sedan that I raced in class. He won, my "excuse" (we always need an excuse) was the '37 was much lighter than my sedan. This was before weight was used for the classes. It is always fun to see these old photos.
