Sanding Louvers...Advice, tricks...help?

    Absolutely! Don't ever deal with a louver guy that doesn't require clean metal to begin with. Not only is it a major pain in the ass to sand after the fact, but also any layer of paint can cause the dies to "slip" away from each other and leave a dull ragedy edge on the vents... Even more fun to sand!

    I have heard similar , but it was after she had to paint several dozen tires raised white letters for a car show appearance. She says put the letters in board or paint the fucking things yourself

    Try aircraft paint stripper, the stuff is killer!! I used it on my 55 and it took all the paint off in a matter of minutes. My 55 had 5 layers of paint too. But sanding each louver sounds like more fun. :rolleyes:

    Air die grinder and small wire brush.Been there and done that !!!!
