I have yet to get these things to seal. am I the only one? s10 v8 swap headers on my 53 ford car.
I had the same problem with a set from them. Used SPEEDWAY extreme gaskets and sealing problem was solved. And SPEEDWAY says they are re useable = GOOD LUCK! Mikey,
I have two av8's with Sanderson headers and haven't had a leak problem, a friend also has two av8's and no problem with his either. I use just a smear of high temp rtv on the sealing area when installing.
the reason I bought them is because of the good reviews..
My $0.02 is two Sanderson header installs with no gaskets other than their high temp goop and no leaks in a couple years.
I have Sanderson Limefires on my 27 and have always used header gaskets on them. Every few years they dry up and crack and I just replace them, but I get no leaks when the gaskets are not aged.
I know their ads say no gaskets needed, but I am just old fashioned.
use red atv on heads let set for a few minutes then bolt on headers, never had any leaks and I run mine wide open for a 1/4 mi at a time.....
Never had a problem using the same process as the guys above^^^^^
Yep red rtv on all my headers , never had a leak and no ugly gasket hanging out
what Big-Foot said...worked for me. Use a liberal bead of RTV.
No gaskets, red atv, no leaks,6 years
Countless customers, RTV, no gaskets, no problems.
Seems like Sanderson needs to updated their ads.
im done.. put the extreme seal gaskets on..not much better, they are coming off, hedman fenderwells going back on..
